WHY LEASE?

There are several benefits to leasing office equipment: You get to spread out the financial burden: Many small businesses don't have thousands of dollars to spend upfront to buy or lease a copier. Down payments are typically small and there are situations where no money down is an option with some leases—you get to spread out your payments for years.
Choosing between buying and leasing a copier for your business depends on your specific requirements and financial considerations. Buying offers tax benefits and long-term savings, while leasing provides flexibility, maintenance coverage, and access to the latest technology.
A copier lease is when a company, instead of purchasing a copier, rents it. The lease payment would include the cost of the copier, plus interest, divided over the term of the lease, usually 36, 48, or 60 months.
Many businesses enter into a copier lease agreement to avoid shelling out thousands of dollars upfront to purchase a high-end multifunction copier. By signing a copier lease agreement, you'll pay a monthly or quarterly fee for your copier over the life of a lease, which is commonly three to five years in duration.
Tax Benefits of Equipment Leasing Leased equipment can also be eligible for Section 179. You can write off the entire lease payment as a business expense by deducting the monthly lease payments on your taxes, as long as your lease meets the qualifications. *Disclaimer: Duplicating Products Inc.
